After riding across the Golden Gate Bridge and back, I decided to pedal to Daly City to the bus terminal. My plan was to take the bus back to Foster City. I took a side route along the coastal “Great Highway”, where I sometimes had to walk the Brompton over the sand drifts. I came across Fort Funston and took a picture.

The wind was strong during the ride across. This photo was taken after I came back across. The Brompton foldable did just fine.

When biking around downtown, I saw the tip of the dome of the Palace of Fine Arts and decided to get a closer look.

The peaceful Zumwalt Meadow is at the end of the road to Kings Canyon.

Kings River runs along much of the road to the bottom of Kings Canyon.

Just lazin’ around at Montara State Beach in San Mateo County.

Highway 1 south of Stinson Beach in Marin County offers some beautiful views and scary curves. This car ride brought back memories of my 1997 bicycle ride on this road.

The wind was so strong at this Marin County vantage point I could barely stand in place.
